Pencil Cap or Coupler - New product idea

Those who have school going kids would have experienced this.  Students in the primary school are supposed to write in pencils.   When the pencil length is reduced due to usage, it becomes difficult to hold and write.  Kids are reluctant to use the shortened pencil.  Sometimes even when 1/4th of the pencil length is left, kids don't want to use them.  Not a prestige issue, it is practical issue.

However, parents would not appreciate the idea of throwing away a pencil when 1/4 it is still left!
If a pencil costs Rs.4/-, then its like simply throwing away One Rupee. Isn't it? Even from environment perspective it is not a good idea! Is there any other way to extend the pencil's length and its life?

How about having a pencil coupler/connector (like the one used to connect water pipes/electric pipes)? A simple design is shown in the above picture.  When the pencil is reduced to 1/4th of its size, the coupler can be connected to increase pencil's length, there by making it convenient to hold  and write.  The coupler can also be used as a Cap to protect pencil lead from accidental breaking.!

Any entrepreneur planning to manufacture a new product, can think of this innovative product.  This product can be patented as well.  Currently, there are a few similar products, which are sold in the name of Pencil extender.  However they are very expensive!  The pencil coupler can be made of plastic/PVC material and there by keeping the selling price affordable.

Quick Shave without Shaving cream or gel!

One of the mundane task gentlemen has to do daily is - Shaving! However, spending 10-15 minutes for shaving daily, could be a waste of time, in this fast moving life! The traditional way of shaving - rinse your face, apply shaving cream, lather it using the brush and then use the razor blade to cut stubble/hair and once again rinsing the face could be simply cumbersome n boring!

Suppose you are in a hurry and still need to do the shaving, then what to do?  Here is an innovative solution! Did you know that the Aloe Vera gel can be used as  Shaving Gel as well!

First rinse your face with normal Water (If possible Wash with your favorite soap). Now apply the Aloe Vera Gel on your cheeks and chin (can be applied whole face). Gently massage the shaving area for 60 to 90 seconds. Now, simply take the razor and do the shaving. Aloe Vera gel acts a natural lubricant and shaving is complete in just 2/3 minutes!!

There are many advantages in using Aloe Vera gel as shaving Gel.

1. First of all Aloe Vera Gel is all natural and environment friendly material.
2. It helps to save precious water as lathering is not required.
3. Aloe Vera gel is supposed to repair damage caused by sunburn.
4. Aloe Vera gel Rejuvenates and Moisturizes the skin.
5. Aloe Vera is supposed to subdue the irritation of the skin and hence “After-Shave-lotion” may not be required!

Aloe Vera gel may seem little expensive when it is considered only from the perspective of Shaving cream. However if the therapeutic properties are considered, it is very cost effective! It is like "hitting two birds in one stone" (as they say in hindi - ek maar, dho thukda!).  Use it for massaging face and use it as shaving gel too!!
